What is a Breast Reduction (Mammary Reduction)–Plastic?
Breast reduction means the surgical reduction of skin, fat and glandular tissue of the breasts to form a smaller, lighter and firmer breast. In technical language, the intervention of breast reduction is also called mammary reduction or mammary reduction plastic.

The surgery of breast reduction is usually carried out in stationary and in general anesthesia. From breast reductions as outpatient operations and dismissal of the patient in a hotel we advise as the necessary medical care is not guaranteed. The day before the surgery is taken into the clinic. On this day, patients are again discussing and clarifying the method of surgery, cutting techniques, risks and complications, behavior in the first weeks after surgery, carrying the support bra. The shape and size of the breast is also discussed with the patients. The surgeon explains the possible problem when wearing too tight or wide support bras.
After breast reduction
After the operation, slight pain and stress can occur, which can be well treated with painkillers such as ibuprofen. In the course of the cycle of the woman, pulling and slight pain can occur temporarily in the healing after breast reduction. Many women have little or no pain or discomfort after breast reduction using the soil hospital method. Many of our patients immediately notice changes regarding fewer complaints in the back after surgery. The breasts are still swollen in the first weeks. However, the shape is already recognizable. Thread knot and mini-tape removal takes place after 3 weeks.
