Own fat injection – this is how it is done
If the patient has decided for an autologous fat injection, the specialists first take the body's own fat from the belly or buttocks. This is done by gentle liposuction with special cannulas. The sucked-off fat is then cleaned and sprayed with special transplantation cannulas over several mini skin cuts under the disturbing wrinkles. The surgeons then sew the cuts, which usually heal without scars.
Since not all transplanted fat cells always settle in the new environment, two to three treatments may be necessary for a perfect result.
