This is how the ears are made.
From a variety of surgical techniques, a technique has proven itself in more than 30 years that brings good results and keeps the ear in shape for life: behind the ear, an incision is made and a sickle-shaped flap of skin and a part of the cartilage is removed.
By skillfully shaping the cartilage, the outer contour of the ear is remodelled and the wound is provided with a cosmetic suture.

What complications are possible with an ear correction?
After an ear correction, swelling and mild rebleeding may occur.
To prevent the ever-threatening infections, an antibiotic is administered. If there is still a throbbing in the ear, pain or even fever, the doctor must be notified immediately: possibly the wound is infected – an infection in the newly operated ear can lead to unsightly deformities and must therefore be treated immediately consistently.
