The Bodenseeklinik is licensed by the state – for medically justified indications such as nasal respiratory impairments, sinus symptoms, scars, visual impairments, hanging breast or skin aprons due to large weight reduction (over 30 kg) and the like, the cost of treatment, surgery, inpatient hospitalization and anesthesia is usually approved according to the fee schedule for doctors from private health insurance companies.
All costs for purely cosmetic operations must be borne by the patient herself.

Prior information on operations
Before the operation, all aspects concerning the treatment are discussed in detail with each patient.
Ideally, bring the following documents from your family doctor to your registration date:
- Results of the medical examination
- ECG
- for patients over 50 years an X-ray of the lungs
- Blood count including blood clotting
These documents are for your own safety and avoid unnecessary complications and are carefully discussed with the anesthesiologist the day before the operation.
Dismissal and follow-up
At discharge, we inform our patients in detail about the correct follow-up care and after-treatment in the course of postoperative care for an optimal and sustainable result, including their own behaviour after the procedure and the application of suitable external applications. When a patient is able to return to society, flight and sport again depends on the respective procedure and is also clarified in the course of treatment.
